It's about time. This statue should have been erected years ago. A true legend such as Frazier more than deserves this honor.

Awsome news. He always said Rocky got a lot of ideas for the movie from him as Rocky did many of the things Fraizer did in real life. That left hook was no accident he built that left hook by being the left arm that his dad didn't have.

Lets not forget he also won Gold!

It's somewhat of a travesty that Philadelphia has a statue of a fictional boxer and not one of Joe Frazier.

Hopefully this will come to fruition and honour him in the manner he deserves.

I doubt it.

This entire project was never even given serious consideration until Frazier was dead, for ****'s sake. This is just a lame attempt by city officials to drum up support and get an "atta boy!" for finally paying him tribute.

Only it doesn't really matter now that Joe is dead.
