god bless him & his family. i'm an ironworker. it's different now but when i started 18 years ago it was dangerous. i watched my co worker lose his leg, watched 2 people die, a crane tip, a bridge collapsed, etc. we put a collection of money together to help the families but that has even changed. boxing is a dangerous sport & getting seriously hurt or dying is a possibility every time you get in the ring. he chose this form of living so if something happens he knew the risks beforehand & so did his family just like i chose to make more money in a dangerous environment instead of a lower paying office job. it is not the fans responsibility to pay his bills. we already pay our cable providers money to watch the fights or attend a live event. we already are contributing to their well being. i pay $40\month to watch showtime & HBO... i wish him the best & hope he makes a full recovery...

Don't point the finger at who should or shouldn't pay. At the end of the day, a family is suffering and a man's life is at risk largely because we as fans want to be entertained. Set aside whatever personal feelings you have and just send what you can, no matter how small the amount.

Everyone who watched the fight should donate something, anything. This guy fought his heart out and put his life on the line for $40,000 . Broken nose , broken hand ,blood clot on brain and he kept fighting hard.Now he can't pay his medical bills. Anyone who was entertained should donate ..... RESPECT !!!
