I seriously doubt at this stage in his career Cotto cares about a 4th title; if HBO & Top Rank can do a better offer he will take the fight with Sergio but more than likely they can't and Golden Boy knows that. So wewill see if legacy or money is more important to Cotto soon enough.

Schaffer is just playing ball, this is the same way MLB team fucks with their rival teams, they knowingly offer huge money to a player so their rival team has to offer more being that they need say player and cant get anymore top players.

I think it's great that Cotto is in this "free agent" position, now HBO/Top rank would have to top that $10M offer (If the offer is genuine).

Golden Boy wants Canelo's first PPV to put up big numbers and they also want Cotto's name on Gingers resume.
I say make it happen. Cotto's already has his legacy and is already talking about retirement. Better to go out with the most zeroes in the bank account.

I was reading his post and just laughing at the breakdown, that offer if true is a great offer period, I don't know if people understand how PPV money works but yeah the promoters don't keep all the money, $10M a low ball offer for Cotto? Okay lol..

Floyd gets paid 42 million and Cotto 8 million for a fight that did 1.5 million buys. This one will do half that and Cotto shouldn't get 15 million? Both of you guys are idiots, where did I say PPV buys only? It is a low ball offer, period. If they are going to give Canelo 10 million as well it is even worse because he does not deserve half the money.
