HUGE risk for Canelo. He loses and he's off. Losing to Floyd is fine; to Cotto at this stage would be murder for his career.
Losing to Floyd is fine? Floyd just threw a couple more rights to a weight drained canelo thats it.

Firstly, Schaefer is just as dirty as Arum so he is lying through his teeth. Maybe not at the 10 million, but the one fight deal. If this fight does 500k that's 30 million, it's a fair offer but this fight will do 750k I think so that would be 45 million. 10 million when the fight will do about 40 million seems like a lowball offer though. Martinez will be forced to make less money than Cotto because he simply doesn't have the fanbase that Canelo has. Cotto could make up the money there, but it's also his legacy. IDK don't trust anything either of these companies say, especially when I read an article on here about Schaefer saying he is going to keep negotiations out of the media.

It is such a shame that a spoon fed Hypejob has more fans than the legitimate MW king

Canelo vs Cotto gets close to 1 mil PPV's or over; than any other fight not involving Floyd Mayweather and even he is going to have a hard time finding the right B-Sides to his fights.

Seems like you don't even understand how PPV money works.

Let's say the fight does 750k like you say, at $65 each, that's $48.7Million in PPV revenue. Now here's the part of PPV you didn't know, but hey we learn something new every day don't we? HALF of that money goes to the TV network. That's $24.3Million left for every one else.

So now does $10 million+ seem like a low ball offer?

            Yeah, okay.

The gate would do 10 million and the millions you get from advertising... There is more to a fight that just PPV money. You learned something new today too, nice.

The gate will not be $10mill. And in your post you clearly only talked about PPV money, you had no idea about how PPV money is broken up now you added gate revenue.

Hence $10mill+. It does not end in $10 million, the more successful the PPV is, the more he makes.

It's a great offer, Schaefer is doing absolutely nothing wrong, unless you think making Cotto $10-13Million dollars richer is wrong.

I was reading his post and just laughing at the breakdown, that offer if true is a great offer period, I don't know if people understand how PPV money works but yeah the promoters don't keep all the money, $10M a low ball offer for Cotto? Okay lol..

Schaffer is just playing ball, this is the same way MLB team fucks with their rival teams, they knowingly offer huge money to a player so their rival team has to offer more being that they need say player and cant get anymore top players.

And like I said Cotto is fighting Martinez!
