I don't even know what to say, the money is hella good but I find this to be some sneaky shhh by Schaeffer. Cotto "I'm happy being a free agent and having Top Rank helping me establish my own company". Schaeffer "Woah woah now there Mig-well..I'll overpay you....". While he will probably make less money, he has a better chance at beating Martinez IMO, and it would be better for his legacy. Plus, its not like he wont make a pretty oenny for that fight. He should go with that fight, and let canelo come after. Canelo ain't going anywhere.

If Canelo gets 15 they can profit. That's not too bad. Puerto Rico vs Mexico will always be a sell.

Maybe but that sounds pretty risky. Showtime has shelled out a lot of $$$ already. Especially with that Mayweather deal.

What's Canelo making? As long as Cotto is getting the bigger share, this is a good deal and probably better than what he can get for Sergio. Cotto has good options in front of him, but I still think that wanting to be the first PR to win titles in 4 different weight classes means something to him.

And on the same hand, when Cotto beats Martinez and becomes the lineal MW champ, Schaefer better increase the offer.
