The fight makes no sense. Golovkin brings nothing yet and is on HBO. He isn't going to bring a fanbase and Floyd will be alone with the PPV, much like the Guerrero PPV but at least he had some support from Mexicans. Another thing considering all of this is that Golovkin is just too big and can actually move up and compete for 12 rounds rounds with the top 5 at 168(And according to a lot of idiots here, he knocks out Kessler and Froch and beats Ward). While Floyd's threshold is barely 154, he never even made 154 in any of his 3 fights. Never even made 152 against Canelo. So the whole catchweight thing against Golovkin will just create some more hatred against Floyd. He'd be stuck in that what ever catchweight he chooses, or if he tells GG to come down to 154 which would be perfectly fine because GG said he'd do it, fans wouldn't give Floyd credit and then even if Floyd wins he gets nothing in terms of legacy. So he just beat a guy with 350 amateur wins, great, what did he do in the pros? Absolutely Nothing. Oh wait, the only man to knock out Nibuhiro Ishida. Floyd would have a win over that man? Yay?

Trout-Lara winner, Danny Garcia, sound like much more even fights.

Stop right there!!!! Did you not here the fans cheering "Triple G, Triple G, Triple G:? Madison Square Garden was intense. He is becoming the next cross over star in boxing. LMFAO at Floyds fan base...heheheeeee If any fighter had to rely on that It wouldn't sell out a YMCA. GGG not only has a fan base now...he has a growing fan base as well. If a Floyd fight was in the works...that growing fan base would grow like a chi chia plant.

with that said...i have to agree with the weight and size comments in your post. I disagree with the fan base...GGG is sprouting fast.

Mayweather is too smart, and adapts to fast and would take all those advantages away not getting hit being slick, and elusive. Golovkiin is there to be hit with overhand rights, jabs, pull counters and straight rights.

Outside of a punchers chance. He has no chance.
Floyd could beat GGG with 1 arm tied behind his back...

GGG is a MW, he has work to do in his division
Floyd is done with JMW now that he schooled Alvarez, back to WW
surprised anybody takes this fight seriously, they'll never do it
GGG would move up before he moved down to JMW
and Floyd wouldn't and shouldn't risk a jump to MW, that's laughable

Don't know the outcome. Just sayin
doesn't look to be all about nothing but eating the jab...clearly walks in with no jab just like in his last fight...

Best you could come up with is a sparring video?

You know Golovkin currently has the most accurate jab in boxing today? He lands more than double the middleweight average.

GGG has great punching power but the guys he's fighting don't really get out of the way of punches...Rosado was probably the slickest fighter his faced and that's not saying much...

Second, its interesting to talk about and its a shame that we can't ever have intelligent talk about big name fighters without troll, cry babies and detractors.

                    Bye now.
It isn't an interesting fight at all. If anything, you're the cry baby here, getting all butthurt because I'm not playing along with your fantasy matchup that will never happen becase GGG is too big and skilled for Mayweather.

Floyd is my current favorite fighter but I have a hard time seeing him beat GGG. 12 rounds is a long time to be in the ring with a devastating guy like GGG, as good as Floyd is defensively he can't dodge every shot, and his reflexes have deteriorated. Didn't you see Cotto bust his nose with the jab, GGG's jab is a power shot that hurts fighters. And the overhand right (GGG's favorite punch) is another shot that can penetrate the shoulder roll defense.

Floyd is the most skilled fighter on the planet so you can't totally count him out, but there are limits, he's not even a fully fledged junior middleweight so asking him to fight a strong middleweight is too much IMO.
