How so? K2 are pretty stingy, and have no history of promoting in the US. AFAIK this weekend was their first real promotion. GGG was paid 400k. Froch, Ward, Kessler fight for 5x that much at least.

The reality is he's a 32 year old pro fighter and the big money fights are not happening as of NOW!! So what does a fighter do? He fights who ever is avalible because for GGG he needs to earn and he needs to continue to learn and fights are how you learn about yourself.
If you feel that the bigger pay days are a year away then you continue to fight even if its second tier guys. The fans second guess everything but lets face it they don't understand how contracts need to be fullfilled not just to earn but get out of situations that aren't fruitfull.
Boxing is time................but once your early thirties are upon you and your not eastablished enough to call your own shots plus the other top tier guys want NOTHING to do with you, your "froze out"!

There is nothing exciting about watching him beat up four b-class fighters when there is A-class competition waiting for him at 168.

I think its verry exciting. You are just one of the guys who want to see him lose thats all. Golovkin doesnt need to move up and if he stays at middleweight for some time, i bet there will be new good challengers at 160 in a few years.
Arthur Abraham for example made a big mistake moving up to 168.
