WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (28-0, 25KOs) tells BoxingScene.com that he is hoping to repeat his 2013 schedule by fighting four times in 2014. Golovkin started off the year by stopping Gabe Rosado in seven rounds on January 19th from the Theater in New York's Madison Square Garden. He came back in March, in Monte Carlo, to drill Nobuhiro Ishida in three rounds. Then three months later he appeared in Foxwoods in Mashantucket to put away Matthew Macklin in five, and this past Saturday night, also at MSG's Theater, he stopped Curtis Stevens in eight rounds. Golovkin will start the new year off early, by defending his titles on February 1 in Monte Carlo.
