Todd Duboef says 375,000 sold. I call bullsh.t!!! That fight didn't break the 200,000 mark. Like usual, the only information we have to go on is from Top Rank, the promoter. HBO has released no numbers and never will because that figure of 375,000 is a stone faced lie!!!!!!Comment

That number's been floating around for a few weeks now, it was said to be somewhere above 340k but they were waiting for the returns.Todd Duboef says 375,000 sold. I call bullsh.t!!! How would you know anyway? What are your sources? Top Rank are the guys that promoted the fight, I think their number is more credible than some dude posting on boxingscene.Comment

That is not bad, I would have thought JMM might have been able to pull more like 500kish but it was an unknown going in.
I would say it met expectations in terms of salesComment

Tim has no fan base. The only people who where there to watch him was his fat girlfriend and his kids. Marquez sold that event. And martinez and chavez both brought alot of fansthat may be true and had an affect on buys,,, but chavez and serg was the same night as the canelo fight and it still did almost double what jmm-bradley did,,,
with 2 marquee guys like jmm and tim, i thought for sure it would do 400k or higher,, this got floyd-baldomir type numbersComment

Even if Marquez was the one who primarily sold the event, that's low numbers for Mexico's best.
guess he's not as popular as we thoughtComment

When Richard Schafer said the Mayweather/Guerrero fight sold over 1 million, a lot of haters on this site claimed it was a lie and chose to believe the unsubstantiated rumor of a blogger. Whenever Bob Arum gives numbers of a Pacquiaio fight, the clowns on this site accept it as gospel even though the network never releases the numbers. Every time Arum has released PPV numbers in the past, the numbers have always been off by at least 30 percent when they were finally given by the network. So, what Bob did was stop allowing networks to release the numbers on Pacquaio fights. Bob Arum has been proven to be a consistent liar. That is why don't believe this number. That number's been floating around for a few weeks now, it was said to be somewhere above 340k but they were waiting for the returns.

350,000 is the number Bob Arum mentioned before the fight took place and tat just happens to be the number they come out with after the fight. That is not a coincidence. Now, you tell me why you choose to believe the word of an admitted liar and briber when it comes to Pacqauio and Top Rank fights, but refuse to believe a promoter when it comes to Mayweather fights?Comment
