Based on what I watched of them, Zaveck and Chaves are two very good wins. These guys are better than many of the Top 10 "names" Ring magazine has in their rankings. The Quintana fight was at LMW so it's less relevant imo.

Thurman overhyped? He's pretty much unheralded at this point, but I think he'll make waves in the division. You think Karass beats him? how about the other champs, Alexander, Bradley? Broner?

I think he proved in the Chaves fight that he's more than just a big puncher, he's mobile with skills. Sure he leaves himself open at times but he can take the shots at WW.
I'm sorry but Chaves and Zaveck are not better than anyone in the Ring's top ten, let alone "many" of them. I dont see any way that statement holds water.

I'll admit Thurman is an exciting, alluring fighter, but his technical/defensive skills are lacking. All I am saying is can we wait to see him fight someone real before we call for him to fight the tops of the division? Thats not really asking for much.

I don't think anyone is claiming as No.1 but he's a future world champ imo. Regarding his defensive skills, he doesn't need to be 100% defensively since the division is stacked with blown-up JWWs who can't hurt him (same reason I give the strong WWs like Chaves/Zaveck a shot at rolling half the top 10).

          Ortiz would destroy Thurman.

lol I'm not an Ortiz "hater". Wish him well. I did read though that his jaw hasn't grown back/healed properly. Thurman v Ortiz is a good fight if Victor sticks to boxing but Ortiz is moving up to 154 iirc.

Of these 4 native american indian boxers who is the best?

              Keith Thurman
              Mike Alvarado
              Brandon Rios
              Tavoris Cloud

I think Thurman is the best of those 4 native blood fighters.

That's cool that he gave some insight on his thought process. It shows that he's actually a thinker in the ring and not some crazy brawler (not that I thought he was before seeing this, I'm just sayin). Can't wait for the Thurman vs Soto-Karass fight!

Thurman has allot of buzz following him, I think the jury is still out on him. The Soto fight will bring allot of light to his boxing future, Jesus always brings it with pressure and the punching volume. This next fight will be big for both fighters.

Watch this space. Karass is gonna tax that ass.
Karass is going to be a sitting duck. Thurman is still on the rise. Karass got cracks in his armor.
