Nah. Ortiz ran out of ideas quickly in that fight and was starting to get lit up. It was only in the round in which he got stopped that he decided that he didn't have a chance other than to get ultra aggressive, and had about 30 seconds of mild success in doing so. But even without the stoppage, Floyd would have soon adapted.
Ruslan Provodnikov is the only fighter Mayweather can't bully on the inside

How was Ortiz more impressive when he didn't clearly win any of the rounds?
Make no sense.

That fight was relatively early on in Provo's career. It was a learning experience; a loss is not necessarily indicative how a fighter will fight in the future. Hell, if Ruslan faced Herrera in a rematch he'd be heavily favored and rightfully soComment

Ortiz ruined Berto, Berto was never the same after he was thrown into the cage with the lion that is Ortiz. Ortiz will whip Cotto, make him cry like he always does after a loss. Cotto is on the down, Ortiz isn't even in his prime yet. This new Ortiz is hungry, has unfinished business with Floyd and is coming to take over the game. Cotto should avoid this beast.Comment
