I like Mike Perez, he's a good fighter. But he's not top 15 at all and doesn't deserve the fight before guys like Arreola, Haye, Fury, Helenius, Solis, Chisora, Wilder, Pulev etc.

Well, if you fight guys like Mormeck, Wach, Charr, Briggs, Rahman, Sosnowski etc etc - the list actually goes on and on - then you can't expect sympathy from the fans. these guys are not 'credible' fighters they are either bums, has-beens or never-was. Some are both and a few managed to be all three.
