Golden Boy Has A Big Offer For Cotto

From what I hear they are offering Cotto a fight against Carlos Molina for the IBF belt for 5 million in New York and on that same night Canelo vs he winner of Trout-Lara in Los Angeles. Their pitch to Cotto is that if they win that would set up an even bigger fight in July vs Canelo and that having both Cotto and Canelo on the same card would bring huge PPV numbers.

Their pitch is a 2 fight deal that would bring over 25 million for him in just 2 fights.

I think Cotto-Molina and Canelo-Trout-Lara would do 700K on PPV.

Its common knowledge that GBPs is going to offer him a better pay day than anyone else.

I believe Cotto is just sitting back waiting for all offers before he signs anything.

We should see Cotto vs Alvarez and Bob Arum won't have a thing to say about it. When you want a fight that Bob Arum doesn't, you remove him from the equation. Cotto has successfully done this before.

Floyd has done this for the better half of his career. People forget that Bob wanted Floyd to duck Hoya. He didn't want Floyd fighting Cotto or Hatton either.

Molina is a spoiler. Won't make Cotto look good at all.

That's great and all, but those are risky fights. Molina could beat Cotto and Lara could beat Canelo.

Terrible deal because Cotto won't get past Molina. Golden Boy didn't learn their lesson by pitting him against Trout.

Really? Didn't he only make a million with them against Trout?

Molina is no joke, he's one of the slickest and trickiest fighters today. It wouldn't surprise me if Cotto lost to him.
