Well we don't know enough about what happened in hospital and what his condition was medically but reading about his hospital visit, how he was made to wait, how doctors at the fight didn't seem so bothered....just a HUGE **** up!

And now Mago's back in a medically induced coma. SMH Such encouraging news immediately followed by a terrible letdown. C'mon, Magomed!

If it's true he suffered a stroke as well then his boxing career is
at an end. Am hoping he comes out of this and goes forward to
live a much healthy and full life.

feeling the same way Either he doesnt make it or he's going to be looking at some pretty bad brain damage, still hoping for the best though. anyone know the likelihood of someone coming out of an induced coma after this long and leading a normal(ish) life?

I know next to nothing about induced comas, but I've known or met at least three people who've had strokes. Two were older, non-athletic men; one was forty-ish. The older men were hit hard. One eventually succumbed. The younger guy appears unaffected, although he suffers some memory issues.

So much is going on with Mago...I don't think even the best doctors can predict what his future holds. We know he's in a coma, but we don't know the extent of his stroke. Magomed is a ridiculously tough, young athlete. He's about as well-equipped to overcome this as anyone you can imagine.

Seems to be a catch-22 situation. They perform surgery to save the patient but I have never seen a surgery like this where the patient is ever the same. Before this procedure was used the mortality was actually equal to what it is now and the recovery rate was higher. And now whenever I hear "They performed surgery to relieve pressure on the brain" I know that poor patient will be messed up the rest of his life.
