I don't think probability is needed.

At this point, there is no one who is going to force Golovkin on the back foot at 160.

Perhaps, maybe, Chavez if he can make 160.

Sometimes it looks like to me that Golovkin wants to go onto the backfoot. Simialrly to how Cotto sometimes does who's also a fighter who can't fight well on the back foot.

I agree. I reckon Chavez Jr would be the worst opponent for GGG - a stylistic nightmare.

Dont forget that GGG is slow. His punching speed is below average IMO.

Exactly like cotto but cotto has since gotten better. As of now golovkin has no reason to worry about it. We'll see when he faces the real fighters around his division. 160 is his to dominate tho.

He negatsa that by his excellent placement. As long as u stand in front of him and give him nothing to think about, its hard to say his hand speed is a detriment.

There's footage of those two sparring where Golovkin absolutely toys with Chavez.

Chavez gets hit too cleanly too much. Golovkin ends his career if they fight next. at least Stevens was small enough to cover his body with a tight guard a lot of the times.

The worst matchups for him would be Froch and Ward but I don't think he plans on moving up any time soon

Why fight going backwards when you can just go forward?

Because it makes you one-diminsional like pavlik, chavez jr, mayorga, margs
Eventually you will fight elite guys that will make you go backwards,, that is what seperates the serg, floyd, hopkins, chavez, duran type fighters from the good fighters like pavlik, taylor, tito, chavez jr,,,

Manny used to just come straight forward, but once he learned to box off the back foot and counter off the back foot, he went to another level,, he started this after morales took his shots and beat him up in the 1st fight, then manny realized you need some more in the arsenal than just coming forward,,

I actually think cotto fights pretty well of the back foot,, in the corley and torres fights his ability to fight going backwards safed him,,, he also did well vs margs in the first fight, he just couldnt hang with the punishment down the stretch but i thought after 9 rounds he was up on the scorecards
