It was more than that. Stevens had talked so much **** repeatedly and it wasn't fake PR ****, Stevens had some vileness in his comments. GGG picked up on it and seemed a bit disgusted by Stevens' attitude.

... Curtis has nothing to be ashamed of...

Here's the punch stats of the fight last night:
Golovkin landed triple the punches Stevens did; 293 of 794 for Golovkin, 97 of 303 punches for Stevens (therefore Golovkin threw almost 100 punches per round!). Golovkin delivered 58 body shots versus 20 for Stevens; 235 punches to the head by Golovkin versus 77 for Stevens.

I don't understand what Stevens "did well" actually -- unless people give him props for he did get up from the vicious knock down and somehow continued...

Stevens definitely earned himself another fight against a champ or a middleweight contender like Geale or Macklin. Maybe even Quillin, let Quillin try again at upstaging Golovkin.

He took a beating, but he never stopped fighting and responded after the knockdown by going at Golovkin and landing some big punches. He had moments of success that suggest he could contend at middleweight far beyond what was expected of him.

Stevens will never be a middleweight elite but with the exposure he got for the Golovkin fight, more possible fights have opened up for him.

Yeah, and Euros mostly don't like it, especially the Eastern block. Talk trash to fighters like GGG and Kovalev, don't be shocked if they take it seriously and seriously **** you up.

You have plenty to be ashamed of cause you talk a lot of shizzlenit, did that fake funeral of GGG and got ko`ed.I was thinking before the fight that Stevens should `nt have done that fake funeral of GGG cause if or when he loses,he`s gonna look more ****** then if he didn`t do that fake funeral.

I know it was just a publicity stunt but it wasn`t wise to do it against a opponent like GGG.
Curious as to your opinion of all the other trash talkers out there... anyone from John L Sullivan to Ali to Floydie to Broner and all points in between, winners or losers, no matter. Just curious.

BTW as a side note, I'm not a fan of some trash talk, but if it's at least somewhat classy and/or funny, I'm fine with it. It is by design supposed to bring interest to the fight, and at least with this fight, the venue was essentially a sellout and there was a good buzz going in, so it seems like mission accomplished.
