Who else doesn't see Golovkins power moving up to 168 with him.

I have a hard time believing GGG battered Kovalev in sparring when he couldn't do the same with Angulo. Seems like it was more of a respect thing, doesn't make sense a guy like Angulo could hold his own when a guy like Kovalev couldn't.

GGG's power is going up with him. It took two rounds for him to convince Stevns that he wasn't going to win. You don't send guys into Clottey shell-mode without hitting like a truck.

This^^^... for some reason u don't think we've seen the best of ggg. He shows a lot of skill but I don't think he feels like any of these guys should share the same ring with him

Tonight you would definitely question whether his power would carry up but then again Stevens has fought at light-heavy so who knows.

He should fight at MW though imo, plenty of opponents there.
The lighter a person weighs the more the punches gonna hurt.

Those aren't world class fighters though, those are journeymen he's sparring. Same thing was said about Edison Miranda, guys were saying he hit like a cruiser in sparring.

People forget the power punching of Pavlik/Abraham/Miranda/Green and how it disappeared at 168. Pavlik was knocking guys out while they were on their feet (see the Zertuche fight), Miranda was 1 punch koing guys, Abraham was folding up guys like a lawn chair (see Khoren Gevor), same thing with Green.

You act as if the fight tonight was at all competitive.

Stevens landed a few decent shots but was basically in survival mode from the second round on.

he'll be fine...he still have some unfinished business at 160 so let him fight there for now.

those 168 fighters getting mentioned here have been there for a long time and nobody's complaining so I don't know why a lot of people are rushing golovkin to move up.

Rosado moved a lot and Stevens had the earmuff defense. Froch doesn't have a tight defense and he comes forward. Kessler is past his prime, he has balance issues nowadays when he's moving and turning and his punch resistance has declined.

Stevens was also battered by a guy with more losses than wins, so don't be too surprised

Again I'm not sure. Kovalev said Golovkin hit like a "sledgehammer" in sparring. Sanchez has told the Angulo story a couple of times in different ways. He said on one video that Angulo tried to bully Golovkin but ended up getting backed up. I guess no one really knows unless we've watched it.

I definitely think the 168 guys would fancy their chances after tonight's fight though.
