John will be returning to the ring for the first time since his 18th World featherweight title defense against Satoshi “Bazooka” Hosono in April 14 of this year. He didn't think he'd won. Tis was later when he decided to cover his rear. At the interview after the fight, he said "I thought it was close"..and "Chris John is a very expert boxer.."

The only accredited western reporter there at the fight was Scott Mallon of RING. He scored it 116-111 for John and in his report said that John won well. One of the Maxboxing guys was also there on vacation and saw the fight as well. His score was the same 116-111. It was either Doug Fischer or Steve Kim, I remember reading his account of the fight and saying he happened to be there on a vacation.
