He's like the LHW version of Golovkin, and Clev did his part in 'being a Macklin'.
Kovalev is not so big for a light heavyweight (he's only 1.83 cm and he's slim) -- he can fight at the super middleweight as well, in my opinion... As Golovkin can, I think...
(Please don't explain me what's about the top fighters delivered by the "old Russian school"... I'm fully aware and I'm getting more and more amused by all the other Westerners who try to dodge them... And it will be more and more amusing after many others from the ex-Soviet block will flood the U.S. boxing market...)

I think the likes of Provodnikov, Kovalev and Golovkin are really blazing a trail for others to follow.

I suspect there are going to be a lot of US promoters scouring Eastern Europe for new stars, Banner Promotions are a good example, having brought Pirog and Provo over.

Its good for boxing (fans) because most of them are exciting come-forward boxers.

"Golovkin, Provodnikov, Kovalev... recently Lomachenko... now Khytrov and Usyak...

Look out at the "ex-Soviet school"!"

(... And Usyk will fight in the cruiserweight division!)

And Mago at heavyweight. I'm really looking foreward to seeing him vs Perez.

If Cleverly goes back to using speed and boxing skill, the way he did when Enzo Calzaghe was training him, instead of trying to ko every opponent, he could turn out to be a very good cruiserweight.

Cleverly moving up to CW seems like a bad move. His pop at LHW was lacking. Kayode/Cleverly intrigues me, if Lateef hasn't already moved up.

He was a fraudulent champion and will not be nothing more than a joke with a fan base that will lose to any decent fighter @ 200lbs
