Yeah Groves has looked better in his last few fights but does no one remember him looking like the weaker fighter who couldn't trade with DeGale? I did think he lost that fight but DeGale is so dumb and unlikeable that I wasn't complaining. Unless they are both much better than I think then Froch should handle Groves easily.

I really cannot stand George Groves. I would love to see Froch end his career.

The guy has no respect, try's to down play Froch's achievements which are light years ahead of his.

He said something a long the lines of "Where does your confidence come from Carl?" to which Froch replied "The level I've been fighting at and winning at" and Groves replied "The level you've been struggling at?"

The most idiotic thing is; #1, Groves would also struggle badly with the likes of Taylor, Dirrell, Kessler (the three fights he outlined on Ringside) etc and #2, Groves has struggled at domestic level against the likes of James Degale and Kenny Anderson for crying out loud!

He also replied to Froch's "My success is my confidence" with "I am successful myself" on what Planet? How are you successful? By being #2 with the WBO, #3 with the WBC and #5 with the IBF? Never beat a Top 10 SMW? Sounds so successful..

I rarely want and crave to see a fighter to get badly hurt in the ring but this is one of them.

        Few things

        1) Degale vs Groves, Degale won that fight by 2-3 pts, close but clear

        2) Groves has always been smug, smarmy and irritating, i was one of a few who found Degale more tolerable during that build up, Degale has since calmed down and comes across as a decent guy really, Groves has also really riled both Kenny Anderson and now Froch

        3) Froch vs Groves, i feel Groves has a good chance to win as he has many advntnages going in against a past prime Cobra, but he'l need to be on his bike like he was against Degale, if Froch catches him he will hurt him and then it's over for Groves, Anderson had him phucked before gassing and Degale hurt him but luckily for GG it was with seconds left in the round

        4) Hope Froch wins

I don't really know where Froch is with regard to his prime, but he said on the show he's breaking his own fitness/strength records.

Froch started his career late and like the vast majority who start their career at a later age and don't start fighting at the top level at a late age always tend to go up further age whilst still at/near their best.

IMO, the amount of years you've been fighting and fighting at world level is more important than age.

Look at Martinez, Hopkins, Froch etc there's no conicidence they started their careers at an advantaged age and got onto the world level at an advantaged age and managed to go on longer.

In comparison look at Benitez who was fighting at world level at 17 and blew out by the time he hit late twenties.

Of course there's exceptions and certain things come into play with specific fighters.

Froch is at his peak at this moment in time IMO.
