I agree with the premise of your post but don't forget Martinez is a blown up JMW fighting at MW himself. Canelo would pose a bigger problem in terms of having to deal with a naturally bigger opponent even though that fight would happen at 154.

Mosley fight was great and Margarito was coming on On in The 2nd fight when they stopped it... I guess canelo would be a great competitive fight.. I'm a big cotto fight.. Do it..

Cotto is in the driver's seat. He can negotiate with whoever he wants so he should play Martinez and Canelo against each other.

Whoever gives him the best deal is the one he should fight.
