    Sounds about right.

Who did he avoid that could have beaten him? I saw his fights Live on TV against Shavers (twice), Marvin Frazier, James Bonecrusher Smith (who he TKO'd, while Tyson went the distance), Kenny Norton and a lot of other top heavies of his time.

This is like saying Lennox Lewis avoided John Ruiz.

Great fighter who lost his way near the end, avoided some deserving heavyweights, but definitely had most of the attributes you want in a heavyweight champ.

Great fighter no doubt, i think he would be beat Lewis....Lewis had trouble with fighters with good jabs.

            1. Ali
            2. Louis
            3. Holmes
            4. Foreman
            5. Lewis

Ok yeah.....I realize Holmes is top 5 but better than Foreman?

I'd say Big George is better all time with his second career. To remain active, fight the level of opposition and be successful at his age was astonishing. Their resumes are comparable but lets keep in mind some of the names Foreman knocked out.

                Frazier
                Norton
                Lyle
                Qawi
                Cooney
                Moorer

and he "struggled" against Moorer if you want to call it that.

My list of heavyweight greats is changing and I've finally moved Ali to 3rd behind Louis and Foreman. Holmes is always somewhere around 4-6.

** Great, you got 2 out of a dozen fights he could have made that would have given him the respect he is always whining about. It's easy to look great against Frank, Bey or Zanon. Had he had to go up against Ali, Frazier, Norton and Foreman, he wouldn't have been wanting to make a comeback. He's lucky that he was a late bloomer in a weak division that he made weaker by his choice of opponents.
