Is Stevens test for GGG or just another one sided mismatch?

    Make sense?
I see where you're coming from but I just wonder if Bernard Hopkins has some inside information on if GGG's record is purposely tailored a bit. I very well could be wrong though so time will tell.

I think it's a test to see how well GGG chin can hold up. Either way though fans will keep saying GGG is not for real until he gets a win over Martinez.

He's a fringe contender at best, no way is this a step up for GGG. All Curtis has is a puncher's chance, and that's about it.
Yep however Stevens is more dangerous than some better guys (including Macklin and Mora) just on account of his punching power. Those other guys might be favored vs Stevens, but don't even have a punchers chance. At best someone like Mora would make GGG look bad in winning.

I find it hilarious how everyone was calling for a Stevens-GGG fight after Stevens KO'd Ayala..

As soon as it was made, those same people boycotted it haha.

I think this is a good stay-busy fight. This is essentially GGG's 5th fight in a year. He doesn't need to fight world-beaters each and every outing.

This is about it. About the same as putting Broner in with Maidana except Maidana is actually good lol

I was pretty disappointed when I heard of this match being made altogether...Stevens is not even close to GGG's level. I'll watch it but can't get excited about it..
