i think the reason you've ever heard Ray Robinson and Wright in the same sentence is people sometimes feel he's in the same sort of situation that Robinson was in at the time where people really didn't get to see them until they were older; Robinson because of the fear of "blacking the division" during that time and Wright having to fight around the country before finally getting true recognition.

He has great defence, he is a great technician, and has a good chin, but his offence is not great, and his finishing capabilities are very subpar. He is also more boring than B-hop.

i guess i don't understand why a fighter having "finishing capabilities" is so important to have (and i'm not picking you out machotime, i've heard this from others).. i guess i always thought it's better to be able to go the full 12 rounds of however long a fight may be (or endurance) over being able to finish an opponent early (or power). It's basically an opinion on which you personally find more appealing and for the most part, fight fans are going to find power more appealing than endurance. Again, if you're talking about "Tyson stop your ass quick, fast" type of fighting, no, that's not in Wright's resume.

Still, it's NO excuse to use when placing him in the pound for pound ranks, nor any fighter.

The rankings are made to categorize the fighters that defeat their opponents using a strong balance of offensive skill as well as defensive and that have a history of doing so in repeatively convincing fashion against quality opposition.

I can't respect anyone who has Winky at p4p number one. That's like saying Mayweather was #1 before Hopkins lost to Taylor. I don't think a serious boxing person in the entire world would rank anyone but Mayweather as #1

Simply put, if you have Winky as #1 p4p now for beating Mosley twice and Trinidad ( ), then you damn sure better have had Corrales at #1 after he beat Casamayor, Freitas, and Castillo in a row. I've never had Corrales higher than 5 in my p4p list. Someone is nuthugging.
