Welsh star Nathan Cleverly will begin his campaign to become a two-time world champion when he makes his big ring return as a cruiserweight on Saturday 30th November at London’s Copper Box Arena.

Cleverly goes straight back into title action when he takes on Australian Daniel Ammann for the Vacant Commonwealth title, featuring alongside Dereck Chisora who makes the first defence of his European Heavyweight title against Matteo Modugno, live and exclusive on BoxNation (Sky Ch. 437/****** Ch. 546).

The 25-year-old lost his unbeaten record and WBO World Light-Heavyweight crown to big-hitting Russian Sergey Kovalev in August, but after a break and refocussing himself on his career, Cleverly is desperate to get back in the ring and win a second world title in 2014. [Click Here To Read More]

However Cleverly looks at 200lbs, I just hope he goes back to being a boxer now, instead of the swarming pressure fighter his Dad turned him into when he took over from Enzo Calzaghe.
No matter how good your chin is, there are guys like Kovalev who just hit too hard to go toe to toe with.
And if you can box like Cleverly can, when he puts his mind to it, you simply don't need to have your chin tested in every fight, the way he's been doing.

Interesting move, just a dreadful division though.

Can't help thinking what would have been if he had fought Shumenov, Hopkins or Cloud instead...

        Awful card from Warren...

        Easy win for Clev though

Mmmm - did not see that Cleverly move coming, jump up to cruiser and have a crack at winning a belt first time out. Interesting!

At least all the daftness of leaping right back in with Kovalev is over with (that really was straight from David Price School of Moronic Decisions).

Not a great card - Chisora seems to be getting a bloke who should be dished-up with a crisp side salad and portion of fries.

Although Big John v Lewison might be an interesting guide to see how far 'Lay em out' can really go in the game.
