Of the current figters I'd pick Martinez and Ward. I was never really a fan of Ricky Hatton but outside the ring he seems like such a great guy so I put him on my list (even though he's retired).Comment

ward fought froch in atlantic city. that's about 5000 km from where he lives. i know you might not acknowledge this, but that's not a fight at home for ward.
and finally, would froch or kessler do anything but lose 9 or 10 rounds if they fought ward in their respective livingrooms? of course not. they were completely outclassed.Last edited by New England; 10-30-2013, 09:52 AM.Comment

The truth hurts.
I didn't say it was home. I said his country - it might be a 3 hour plane ride for Ward, but naturally you could understand it was harder for Froch than for Ward - at least give me that.ward fought froch in atlantic city. that's about 5000 km from where he lives. i know you might not acknowledge this, but that's not a fight at home for ward.

I don't know if they would, neither do you. Maybe if Ward hadn't held Kessler 100+ times and headbuttet him 5+ times it would have been closer. Both guys have beaten top contenders since fighting Ward and are ranked #1 and #2 respectively. Working your way up to a rematch isn't unheard of - only when it comes to Ward.
He's arrogant as well. I don't dislike his personality at all actually, he seems like a good guy. But he is a bit arrogant, therefore not the biggest gentleman in the sport.Comment
