Comments Thread For: James DeGale: I’m Back and Full of Confidence

London - James DeGale MBE is ready to give his best performance to date and prove his knee troubles are truly behind him.

The WBC Silver super middleweight champion has been undergoing physiotherapy for his injured knee and now feels he is ready to once again show his best form.

“I’m going to show that once and for all my knee problem is behind me,” the 2008 Olympic gold medallist said.

“I think from the Hadillah Mohoumadi fight you’ve seen me gradually get better, through the Fulgencio Zuniga fight, Sebastien Demers and Stjepan Bozic, you’ve seen me bending more, throwing more shots, throwing my combinations, using angles more, so in this one you’ll see another big difference as well.”

James Degale has had such an anti-climatic career this far after winning the gold.

Carl Froch put it beautifully when he said "James Degale is not very good"

i think mick hennesy should just make the eubank jr james degale fight, put it at the o2 arena or somthing cause these recent fights have been low quality, the last guy was 40 yo near enough.

The fight looks like an old-school marking-time job....

......if Groves pulls it off against Froch (unlikely but not implausible) then DeGale goes straight to the top table and its rematchville with George and this time there's a world title fight and some serious money up for grabs.

One or two guys on the board think that Groves might fight someone else if he shocks Froch....but trust me, DeGale's phone will ring and these 'best mates' make a heap of money filling a football stadium.

If Groves gets shots down by Froch (highly likely but not a dead cert) then nothing is lost by simply piling up the ranking points and rolling over these kind of guys and waiting for something better to come along.

                  Very anti-climatic.

I assumed this fight must be on Saturday. It's not even on for two weeks? lol.

If he is going to be in with this company he needs to be getting out every two months

He's been trying to get away from Hennessy. Don't know why he signed with him in the first place to be honest.
