Elvis Grant Phillips, the CEO of Grant Worldwide, hit back at middleweight contender Gabe Rosado for his recent comments related to the gloves used by WBA/IBO champion Gennady Golovkin during their January fight at the Theater in New York's Madison Square Garden.

Rosado, in a recent interview with BoxingScene.com, questioned the nature of the Grant gloves that Golovkin was using. He felt Golovkin was provided with a different type of glove. Rosado took a beating in the fight, which his corner eventually stopped, and Golovin picked up a seventh round TKO victory.

"Some people can't handle a loss, but to come back eight or nine months later and start pointing fingers...it's pretty sad," Phillips told BoxingScene.com.

Did rosado say Grant made the gloves with out the missing padding just for GGG or that GGG pulled a Resto??? Lol I'll agree about the timing being ****** but he didn't say the company cheated for GGG.

Rosado said the gloves were missing padding at the knuckles when they were inspecting them after the weigh in. They were seal from Grant and never touched by Golovkin, so Rosado is implying that Grant made them like that

This is the 3rd time I hear of someone complaining of "Grant" gloves. The 1st time was Trinidad's Father/trainer after Trinidad got his ass beat by Winky Wright(Wright basically beat him with one hand) Trinidad's father claimed after the fight that Wright's gloves(that happened to be "Grant" gloves) were too big & they blocked his whole face & that's why Trinidad couldn't get his shots in & the 2nd time was when Trinidad was going to fight Roy Jones Jr & Jones had some custom made "Grant" gloves to match his wardrobe & again Trinidad's father complained about the gloves(this time before the fight) & they ended up using "Everlast" gloves(weird cause Trinidad has basically used "Reyes" threw out most of his career) & Jones still whipped his ass & now that Rosado claims Golovkin's custom made "Grant" gloves were too small compared to his gloves, that also happened to be "Grant" & he also claims most of the padding was in the wrist area & had less padding in the knuckle area... If that wass the case, that he felt like there wasn't enough padding in the knuckle area, he should have complained right then & there so an investigation could have been done, not a couple of months later..
