I wouldn`t jump the gun. I`d pick Toney on points in this one but two factors working very big in Ruiz` favor here.
1. Ruiz is Don King`s baby. For some reason or another King gets Ruiz very genorous judges.
2. Ruiz`s style has a habbit of messing up his opponents style. The better the boxer it seems the worse they do against Ruiz ( Roy Jones is the expection because he is an exception ).
I doubt this fight will ever take place. Lately all Don King's champions have been fighting only Don King's challengers. I don't think King will allow it. Ruiz has been bragging about wanting to take on Klichko and nothing happened.
If Toney wins it will not be by knockout. Toney gets too much credit at heavyweight. Outside of an old broken down Holyfield he has only fought an untested prospect. Ruiz style gives just about anybody fits and Toney will be no exception. I can see it going either way.
All I meant was Ruiz isn't nearly as skilled as James Toney, so James should be able to defeat him. If clinching and bad judges were non existent in boxing Ruiz would not champion.
I can't believe I am about to say this but, I would actually look forward to seeing this fight take place. Uggh!! I never thought I'd say that about a Ruiz fight.
toney can fight excellently on the inside, that is why he will beat ruiz and possibly kayo him, toney will pick him apart, ruiz is slow as hell, and that is ok against normal heavy's, not against jones and not against toney

I expect this fight will go to distance and in the end the result will be as usual: John Ruiz retains his heavyweight title with a points victory thanks to very nice judging!
