BigDUnnland- where even though theoeries like the above are true -we don't apply them where there is no evidence.

You have no idea if Manny is affected by the KO as of now. No reports from his camp suggesting he has, no stuttering in interviews, etc. Yes, the rios fight may tell u something different.

But the last 3 haven't, which was the TS question.

Depends on how he wins. Look if rios wins by KO i'll be shocked-as shocked as I was when Buffer said Tim Bradley beat him or Lennon said 114-114 a draw. I'll eat crow and humbly apologize to evol, hectari, iftitles and every other manny fan.

      I just can't see it.

Maybe manny gets robbed again like the bradley fight. Thats the only way I see him winning.
I don't think Rios can even last the distance with Pac unless Pac is shot. I don't think Rios can make it past 7 or 8 without taking a life-threatening beating and his corner won't throw in the towel when they obviously should unless Pac is far past it.

That's how tailor-made Rios is for Pac. He's obliterated guys like this his entire career. I'm not even going to consider the outcome in doubt, the only way this Rios makes the distance is if Pac is shot, let alone if Rios wins.

        Good grief, talk about naive!

You have no idea how he is going to be affected either, but what we do have to go on is his age, the wars he has been in, and him getting sparked out in his last fight. It happens to all fighters and its also possible that Rios may have improved some things. Rios has a way better chaance than your floydsanus view will allow you to have.

No. The problem is that he's only a part-time boxer now.

Pacquiao is pretty much the storybook superstar boxer who got famous and lost focus. Became a superstar and drank it in; movie career, singing career, opened a ****load of businesses, had a bunch kids and baby mama drama, got into politics, got into Jesus, blah blah blah. It's no surprise that he's gone from looking extraordinary and captivating fans imaginations, to coasting to some lackluster decisions and then getting knocked the **** out.

Yeah his matchmaking might have been favorable for a while, but he was seriously a beast in the ring and is still capable of that in my opinion. I think his physical gifts are all still with him, but does he really intend to give 100% to boxing anymore? I seriously doubt it.

I mean, do you really expect a guy that shows up to two eight-week training camps a year, doesn't do the full training regiment, and boldly ignores his trainers is going to stay the p4p #1 fighter in the sport? Nah man. It doesn't matter how talented a guy is, there are too many hungry guys training nonstop and dedicated 100% to this **** for someone to get away with half-assing it.

          Now don't get me wrong; I love Pacquiao. He is a living legend and it's been a privilege getting to watch his rise and follow career, but it's like Joe Frazier said;

"If you cheated on that in the dark of the morning, well, you're going to get found out now, under the bright lights"

After Pac looks spectacular (the point of the fight) vs Top Rank's Welter Weight Super Duper Champion Bam Bam Rios, people will act as if it's 2009 all over again.

Bob knew what needed to be done to get the hype built back up after it being shattered back to back to back vs Top Rank's other Welter Weight Super Duper Champions in JMM III, Bradley and JMM IV fights.

Since the fight was announced, Pacquiao has continued to become a larger favorite, as his supporters have been backing him and taking advantage of the lower opening odds.

he is currently between -$400 and -$450. this means a $100 bet on manny wins you $22.

SO I guess the oddsmakers are fl0wmo bumsniff floydanus lickers too?

Notice how everything you post discusses floyd's a$$. eeew or as the NBA commercials go -ahnnnnnnnnnt.

True-I don't know how he will look. But I'm not going to lower my expectations so I can feign surprise later on, which you know is what hectari, ifctitles and some of the others are doing.

I couldnt get near Floyd's starfish even if I wanted to, which given I'm not a brown nosing fanboy, isnt my cup of tea. They would have to call the fire brigade to remove your face from there first.

I dont have low expectations, just realistic ones based on the historical evidence that fighters not only decline with age and wear and tear, but overwhelmingly dont come back well from getting starched.
