Bill Emes catches up with middleweight contender Curtis Stevens in his training camp, as the fighter trains for war with WBA/IBO champion Gennady Golovkin, scheduled for this Saturday night at The Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York City. Stevens is hoping Golovkin comes to the fight to make it a war, as he wants to make it a power punch, slugging war with Golovkin. The match will be the main event of an HBO televised doubleheader. Been on the canvas by much lighter hitters but wants to make it a slug war vs GGG? Might be his only chance to win but not a smart one.

literally stevens only chance is to go balls to the walls in the first round when golovkins not expecting it nd just jump on ggg wrecklessly nd relentlessly throwing bombs out the gate nd test gggs chin piece

anything 2nd round on is a GGG ko

Considering the way he has been trash talking ggg I'd expect nothing less..he'd look like a real ***** if he fought scared and didn't impose himself after all the **** taking..

Both have power, Stevens a little more but a big difference is in polished talent and that is where GGG shines and he should be patient and use timing and not get into a firefight. it is an un-escapable fact that power is the great equalizer and all the talent in the world can be nullified by a single, powerful shot. But GGG's amateur background should allow him enough options in the ring to overcome anything Stevens attempts. It's hard to imagine GGG losing if it goes late because Stevens body type doesn't make for great stamina I don't think. Stevens early or GGG later, after 3 rounds. I cant imagine anything less than a KO and a war for however long it lasts. But nothing that could happen shocks me anymore.

haha thats true. after watchin this vid, i actually like stevens a little more. also didnt know abel was talking trash. i feel, actually i know ggg gna come out boxing, he always does, kind of a slow starter but when he turns it on its over within the next 5-10 mins for sho. stevens has to jump on him in the first round nd a half, has to, only shot. gggs too technical the later it gets

Cool footage to get us pumped for the fight. Enjoyed it. I'm not sold on Kennedy Glove-King as "the truth", and quite frankly I wouldn't mind seeing him lose in shocking fashion - just to shut up all his fanboys.

And I'm no Stevens fan either, as I find him too "gangsta" to rally behind. But seeing as he seems to have next to no fans on here whatsoever, I'm backing him in this fight just to stir things up in the MW division.

Pads don't hit back. Anybody could look good while training, but I agree with Abel, this fight shouldn't pass the 3rd..at MOST the 5th, and I'm being generous.

Of course GGG its the better fighter he is very solid technically has a really solid amateur backround, and his last showings have been great.

But dont just count stevens out he comes he is very explosive and could surpirse an overconfident opponent with ease.

Still GGG by far the superior fighter in every way
