But my point was there was nothing showing Rosado was capable of getting the stoppage. The last 40 seconds of the fight Was Quillin already trying to work on Rosados eye, and Rosado doing nothingComment

I agree. Nothing indicated that Rosado was on his way to stopping Quillin. Sure, Gabe was walking Pete down from the middle rounds on, but the pressure wasn't especially effective. Quillin was fighting well enough off the back foot. Neither man seemed particularly weary by the tenth. Those ridiculous scores showed that Rosado pretty much needed a KO to win. That just wasn't likely to happen at all. So Gabe should've gotten one more round (or three) for what? To possibly suffer irreparable eye damage? Fuck that.Comment

Green kListen it was a cut, he has all the time in the world after the fight to get it treated...what he doesn't have is the guarantee of being in a position to snatch a champions belt again. If the fighter is aware of the dangers of continuing a fight and willing to continue he should be allowed to. It wasn't like the man was taking insurmountable damage and it wasn't like Quillin had much sting left in his punches at that point..give the guy a one round to try and pull off the knockout which mind you is not that far fetched considering he made Quillin do a dance earlier in the fight. With that said it's better it ended how it did than to have those horrible scorecards read to the public..how these judges had that fight so lopsided is beyond my comprehension. Imho the knockdown quillin was credited for should've been ruled a trip...go watch the knockdown while yes he connected with a punch look at Rosado trying to get his leg out of from behind Quillin's left leg.

Felt bad for Rosado because he really was coming on, and I'm a Kid Chocolate fan. That said, neither one of these guys is the MW alpha male by any stretch.Comment
