Good fight if made, Rosado does deserve a rematch though at some point. Jacobs has looked good lately against limited opposition but Quillin is good. People have been excessively harsh on Quillin with the Rosado fight, I personally had Quillin winning although there were many wafer thin rounds but Rosado has developed into a pretty strong contender. Quillin will beat Jacobs for me, probably by stoppage.

Aside from the fact that I believe Gabe Rosado would have possibly beat Peter Quillin and is definitely owed a rematch, I think this is still a good fight. They are looking to stage this in February which is good because we will get to watch it during the time that there isn't as much boxing going on and it will also give Rosado's cut more time to heal which is good because it will heal stronger and will be less likely to re-open when they fight or not open up as easily.

That is irrelevant, a deep cut can cause a whole host of problems, most of which could cause really very serious damage to the eye area with the potential to curtail and end careers. I assume the doctor is better qualified than anyone else on the scene to make that decision, even if it did spoil the fun for the fans and hinder Rosado's chances in such an important fight.

This fight will be won or lost based on what's going on between Jacob's ears. Danny has more skill than Quillin, but Quillin has more power. If Danny can stay away from Quillin's left and be at 100% mentally, he can win.

Salute to Jacobs for the shiiii he's been thru, but the Rosado rematch is the fight that Quillin needs to do next.... because he may not get past Jacobs. Especially since Jacobs now knows the way to beat him... which Rosado did for all to see. Quillin really never did impress me anyway. He's just a temporary title holder. Either the Jacobs match or the Rosado rematch ends his 'reign'.
