Comments Thread For: Team Alexander on New Date, Judah-Malignaggi Winner

BoxingScene.com recently caught up with Kevin Cunningham, IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexander's trainer and manager, to get his thoughts on the date and venue change of Devon's title defense against Shawn Porter. The fight was originally slated to take place on November 30th in San Antonio but will now take place on December 7th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn underneath the Paulie Malignaggi versus Zab Judah main event.

Cunningham said that they are happy to be part of the blockbuster quadrupleheader and hinted that they would like to face the winner of the main event.

It's actually shocking to see how irrelevant Devon Alexander is

Cunningham is talking up anybody to make his guy seem relevant.Judah and Paulie are 2nd tier and beating Alexander doesn't change that.

Steal the show??? More like try not kill the show again. His performance vs Bailey the last time he was in Brooklyn was flat out disgusting.

Good ****. Alexander vs. either in BK will sell. Him and Paulie have had beef in the past so the build up should be fun as well.

Alexander could easily be Mayweathers next opponent.
