Amir Khan doesn't seem like the guy that makes smart decisions. He will automatically think he's the best for no reason. Which is ****** in my opinion. It takes a guy that knows what they're doing to say "I'm not ready to fight Mayweather yet." There is nothing wrong with that. Angel Garcia said he wants to blend Garcia into the 147 division rather than just throwing him in there. What's wrong with that? Why automatically go for the top dog? That's some Amir Khan **** right there. The difference between Danny and Amir is that Danny earns his why to the top fights. Amir just gets it, earning it or not.
good post. they're taking the proper steps to be ready when their time comes. ****ing floyd was 30 when he hit the big stage with oscar. broner and garcia are babies still. what's the rush with some people?

both of you missed the point. It's not that they are ready: they clearly are not and i wouldn't mind if they said they are aiming to fight floyd within the next couple of years or whatever.

        instead,

Broner has said that he will not fight Floyd; while Danny seemed very reluctant and intimated that he also would never fight him.

I don't particularly like it. I highly doubt Mayweather was calling them up about a fight though, which is why I can't get too angry.

broner has also said that he'd beat floyd. broner says alot of ****. as far as i can recall, danny hasn't said that he wouldn't fight him. same **** he said about mathysse, he's saying about floyd. "whatever my promotion wants, whatever is best for me, then i want it." that don't sound like a no to me.

For all we know, Garcia would take the fight even if he doesn't feel he's ready, but has been told he has no chance of getting it. The way the Alexander-Khan fight fell apart, maybe Golden Boy fighters just know what's happening.

Really? Because all I've heard from Danny was "If it happens then it happens, if it doesn't it doesn't." I think I understand your point though. Neither of them have that eagerness to fight Floyd. My thing is, Floyd has 4 fights left. They can either rush to get it or just continue on a steady pace and if they get it, they get it. If they decide to continue on their steady pace which worked for them, then I agree with them. That's what they should do. But I'll tell you one thing. No one should ever tell a fighter what their legacy should be like. That's their legacy. Nobody tells you what cereal you should eat in the morning. **** that.

Yes it is acceptable in Garcia's case. All fighters have the right to turn down any fight they want if it is not in defense of their title. What is not acceptable is a fighter who is a world champion and refuses good offers to defend their title against top challengers.Garcia is the champ at 140 so he has no obligation to fight any welterweight. Broner is a world champ at 147 so if Floyd challenged him to a unification fight and put a good money offer on the table an Broner refused to fight that would make Broner a poor champion to me.

Again is this a joke thread or what?

Is there anything worse than pretend you want to fight a one-dimensional midget, then dump all kinds of roadblocks? At least Garcia has the nerve to admit he's not ready to move up in weight and face Mr Da Best up there. Fans don't have to make all kinds of speculation for four years whether you have balls or not.
