He's saying he could have earned more if he didn't burn any bridges. He wasn't denying the fact that Mayweather makes more than any active fighter.

His point was clear, that IF he hadn't burned bridges with TR he could have been working with them. Which equates to making more money over the years.

the only legit fight may missed out on was the pac fight which i doubt would have happen anyway. why continue a relationship when a promoter is stealing bread from you, f@ck arum may got the fight he wanted which was cotto he wasnt tripping any other fight. i dont know of any other "bridges" that may has burned. ***** him and oscar dont get along but they still get money together

Want to put some money on that. Lara has fought more top yen contenders at 154 than Canelo by a mile. He has fought Molina , Williams , Martyrosian , Angulo and now Trout. Where as Canelo has only fight Trout and won a very disputed decision. As far as he not beating Trout , he moves better , has more power and more hand speed and even though he was knocked on hos ass twice by Angulo he had the balls to get up and finish the job. So I don't know how feather fisted Trout is going to pull this one out.

Look at Golden Boy offering nobodies for Cotto to fight. Top Rank can just counter with Martinez, Bradley or even Marquez at a catchweight. All those wins would be better on his resume than anyone mentioned with the exception of Canelo. We don't need a Trout rematch, it's a winnable fight for Cotto but I don't want to watch that crap again with Cotto/Canelo and Cotto/Martinez as possible options. I still think Cotto takes the Martinez fight, it's the best option for his legacy IMO.

Canelo is a better fight for Cotto style wise. Martinez too fast, strong and durable for Cotto. Cotto gets slaughtered against Martinez and then his legacy ends. Canelo is a bigger money fight.

Cotto vs Canelo would be a great fight. It's evenly matched and would attract lots of fans and PPV numbers.

Props to Golden Boy for trying to make it happen.

Bob Arum and Top Rank are irrelevant in all of this since they don't have a contract with Miguel.

Ignoring all the TR/GBP and Sho/HBO stuff, there are people that think Alvarez-Cotto would be a bad fight? WTF? I would love to see that fight.
