I've seen plenty of hype from people trying to brand Quillin as an elite and being right up there with GGG, already giving him credit for beating phantom Maravilla. I'm not even sure Quillin is better than the Macklin level. He couldn't even clearly handle Rosado.

I think that's a good assumption, especially after tonight. I've always thought Quillin was pretty good, just not great; but frankly, I'm disappointed in his performance tonight. Rosado is game, but Pete should've handled him better. I wish they would just make the damn matchups that matter already. Quillin would lose his belt, but only to guys like Golovkin and "Maravilla."
I think he loses to Murray too. Murray beat Martinez imo and the high guard come-forward style in that fight is perfect for taking it to Quillin. He's a big MW too at 6ft tall.

Like who? Haven't seen anyone on nsb overrating him nor have I seen anyone from the media say anything regarding him. He's a good fighter but if you wanna speak on hype you'd have to say someone like matthysse, ggg, khan-not anymore. Guys who are hyped up. I think ggg Is legit tho

Isn't he fighting Danny Jacobs next? I said before and still feel Jacobs would tax that ass!

I'm not really sure who rates him high though...

The consensus seems to be Sergio and GGG as the top 2, which is correct. I rarely see anyone, or any members of the media, rate him above those two.

            I think he's properly rated. 3rd best.

I said in the other post, but I'm sure if Quillin beats Angulo any more.

Still want to see how well his chin holds up. Quillin still has power and Pirog ate him

Quillin fans probably went into hiding after tonight. Just a week or so back there were fans spouting some pure heat as if he were the uncrowned champ. Dude doesn't have a thing for the division's top.

I honestly don't know what you're talking about. You must be overly sensitive to any Quillin hyping. I have rarely read anything on these boards that said Pete would beat GGG, for instance.
