What I don't understand is that they looked closely at the cut before the round started and then they decided to stop it like 30 seconds later. What happened in those 30 seconds that changed their minds? I believe that they should have at least let the 10th round finish. This was also my first time watching Quillin and I must admit that I am highly impressed with his wife but not hardly impressed with him at all. And once again they hire judges from the National Federation of the Blind. What the he!! fight were they watching?
Maybe I have to rewatch the fight but I had Rosado up 1 point going into the last round. It was a close fight but that again, that 90-80 scorecard was absolutely criminal and an investigation needs to be launched ASAP! Rosado is putting his life on the line and they didn't even give him a chance! That scorecard was simply not possible, IMO
I agree with you 100%..,terrible job by the judges, this is starting to become the part of a prize fight im really starting to hate..im used to expecting controvercy in every high profile fight now and it aint right!!boxing aint going nowhere soon, but with stuff like this happening it might happen eventually..PROMOTERS(TOP RANK)AND JUDGES ARE WHATS LEAVING A BAD TASTE IN THE MOUTHS OF US LOYAL BOXING FANS!
1. The Knockdown was legit, but circumstantial. If there legs were not locked up, Rosado would not have gone down. Thats his fault, but lets not pretend he was hurt.
2. No.
3. That is debatable. The cut was caused by a punch, but the TKO was clearly politically motivated.
We can go through and list fighters who have fought entire fights with worse cuts. Fights are suppose to be stopped when an injury impairs a fighters ability to defend himself. Despite its placement, the cut wasn't bleeding into his eye. It actually wasn't even bleeding all the much.
Feel bad for Rosado it was a close fight. Rosado was coming on down the strech an Quillin was looking tired. Terrible stoppage, this is for the title and they robbed Rosado again.
