Why Rios really is a good test for Pac's chin.

Rios has an uncanny ability to get off a shot while getting hit. Of course, if you watch the Abril fight, you'll say to yourself, not a chance in hell against Pacquiai, BUT, Abril purely pot shotted and turned him all night.

Manny's gonna look for that KO all night, and he'll be in the line of fire. Rios doesn't need to take shots, reset, then attack. He can attack while taking shots. If there's anyone with the chance to catch you in the middle of an exchange, its guys like Rios and Danny Garcia.

Trust me. This fight will test Manny more than you guys think.

Well yes however I think pac will be more disciplined this time round, he would have learnt from his mistakes last time round and he will just look to outbox him more then to ko him

rios might be too big of a test for pac's chin lol.. even before the marquez KO i think rios could still hurt pac if he lands flush.

but the pressure is on pac to look good so even if he learned from his pass mistake i dont think that will stop him if the crowds starts booing, etc.

Am I really supposed to believe a punchbag who went life and death with John Murray is a good test for any version of Manny?

Hes a punchbag who throws absolutely nothing unless you stand right in front of him. Hes slow, he has predictable and painfully limited, never fought at welterweight and has no chance.

Hes absolutely made for Manny too look nothing short of brilliant against. With Rios non existant defense I won't be surprised if he gets brutalised inside a round or two.

Fully agree. There's no way Pac's gonna play it safe with his food. That's why Rios is a great test for his chin.

When has PAC ever played it safe with a massive underdog?

It flies in the face of reality that a 2nd tier JWW moving up to WW will be a test for one of the 10 best fighters in the world simply because manny made a mistake and got KO'd his last fight.

Its more realistic to think TR got manny a fight with a name fighter who fights in a style that makes him seem more dangerous than he is. The fact is this is a great fight for manny to get in some rounds and get a KO victory-which truthfully, benefits not only TR, HBO and Macau, but all of boxing.

That's the point. Manny's going out there to finish him off quickly. The thing is, Rios can punch back while getting tagged. That's a recipe for a hail Mary KO if I've ever seen one.

Look I know he lost to Alvarado cuz mike boxed well enough to win but he's not a bum. Rios will bring it! If manny knocks him out I'll be impressed.

He doesn't have one punch power, not even at lightweight did he. He wears guys down by smothering them and through accumulation.

Hes slow, flat footed, he has never fought a single southpaw before or fought at the weight and only had two at 140, was losing one, lost the other not to mention coming off a loss at lightweight in a shut out and multiple struggles with fighters who are Euro level at best.

Everytime he has fought anybody who hasn't stood in front of him hes either lost or been left virtually clueless.

All-in-all he is made to order and complete and utter useless to be quite honest. He is extremely limited. He will do his usual plod forward as that is the only thing he knows how to do & Manny eats guys like that alive.

If Manny is operating at even 40% he still destroys Rios. Hes not going the distance.
