Khan will be a much better fight than Garcia.

Garcia might be the better fighter but it will be Guerrero all over again.

Khan never has a boring fight.

Kahn could turn out to be a real problem for Floyd. Styles Make Fights and While Garcia can knock Kahn out Floyd really isn't such a threat that way. Kahn could be trouble the way Judah was and maybe with the proper strategy make Floyd have to come to him.

Anyhow the OP is absolutely right and you know what? Don't buy the fights, i don't.

Showtime have stumped up millions of dollars for this 6 fight deal with Floyd. It is imperative to them that this is recouped (and then some) in order for a profit to be made. It's the oldest law in business.

When you're the P4P best fighter in the world, each fight IS a business. It's the primary reason for putting the gloves on, doing the hours in the gym and performing successfully on the night to maintain the status-quo.

So, think with your business head on. Floyd is fighting in May. There are two real candidates who, more than anyone else (Manny aside) who can generate enough ppv revenue to warrant a fight making the kind of money required to subsidise the television deal.

Danny Garcia. He's the man who deserves it, and was Floyd s chef support last time out. Good fighter, undefeated, very marketable. However, doesn't have that stardust, isn't known to casual fans, still isn't rated perhaps as highly as he should be. Also his style suggests a tale tale pattern of fight with Floyd s last opponents.

Amir Khan. The man who doesn't deserve it. Lost 2 of his last 4, carries no belt, and even tho he won his last fight, it was close and he was dropped. But, in terms of ppv, he's smash Garcia out of the park. Big UK fan base, would sells buckets there. Floyd is promoting this Dec in the UK, again, extra exposure for the TMT brand. Amir is also a cross over star, maybe not so much in the States, but certainly is here. His style also makes for a more interesting match up than Garcia.

So, as a fan who do you choose? You choose Garcia, he deserves his shot. A no brainer.

But, as a business man, who do you choose? You choose Amir. Even more of a no brainer. You'd have to be thicker than gravy not to understand why it makes more business sense. Makes more money.

Are Floyd and Leonard and Hamon all business men?

Come on now, please try to understand the fundamental nature and law of boxing. It's a business. This is the best deal that can currently be made. It's very, very simple.

Why do you think Floyd fought Canelo? Its because showtime lost loot on the Ghost fight, Canelo was logical for the next one. It was the best business deal at the time.

Amir Khan is the best business deal at THIS time, and he will be the next person to fight Floyd. So i suggest you accept it and understand the reasons behind it so that ultimately, you can all enjoy it.

After all, if you were risking your life each and every time you fought for others entertainment, wouldn't you want as much money as possible?
Why are you excluding Manny? You said yourself its just business, and Manny brings the most money hands down

Even if Floyd is fighting just for money his decisions dont make sense

Business is PART of boxing, its not EVERYTHING. And that's where Floyd groupies fail. They like to pretend and flex that Floyd's income statement trumps everything.

Ask yourself, does anyone remember what Ali made per fight?

Stop being fanboys and appreciate the entire sport. I swear pac and floyd tarts have near ruined this sport

Its like telling people going out to eat to understand if they don't have what you want to just eat what they do have even though you don't want it because what you wanted wouldn't have been as profitable for the establishment to sell.

Its not the consumers problem and we don't care.
