Rudy was obviously pressuring him to stop it, and in he condition he was in, and his own corner giving up on the fight, he had no choice.

If he would have continued fighting, none of the fans watching would have given a damn. They would have preceded their night by finishing up their drinks, going on Boxingscene to call Mike a warrior, and go to sleep. While Mike would have been in the hospital all ****** up, pissing out blood, as his kids watch their dad hoping he will be okay.
