It's always a shame when a boxer passes. That is why I don't care when it comes to arguing who fans think is exciting and who fans think isn't.

Boxers put their lives on the line. Rabbit punches seemed to end the fight. The winner didn't seem to look to rabbit punch. He had a hurt fighter and just kept throwing. A life is gone because of blows to the head. I'm thinking something was wrong before going into this fight.

Questions have to be answered.

It's actually happened much more often, you just don't hear about the little unheard of guys. Earlier this year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FGyiiziM1s this 17 year old pro boxer died http://boxrec.com/media/index.php?title=Fight:1772799 and I think just this past month or a month or two ago some other Thai or Malaysian boxer died as well. Honestly there are many boxer deaths per year, you just don't hear most of them cus they're unheard of guys like the above

Q.E.P.D Frankie Leal..This is a very sad situation(just like the others in the past) It was a competitive good fight while it lasted & even thou Leal suffered a knockdown he didn't seem to take a lot of extremely hard shots to the head & at the time he suffered the 2nd & last knockdown & collapsed(very similar to how Benny "Kid"Paret collapsed against Griffinth before passing away) after getting up in the corner, the replay didn't show his opponent landing any hard or significant shots, it seems like it was building up & it effected him at that precise moment.. & the way the ringside doctors & paramedics handled it didn't help cause they didn't give him any oxygen, no neck brace & when they put him on the stretcher they didn't even secure him & took him away loose with one of his hands dangling.. His opponent didn't even celebrate the victory & the Mexican announcers were heavily criticizing the way the medics handled the situation..

when i heard he was on his way back to SD i thought he was fine. this sucks...RIP

Extremely disappointing news. Boxing can bring great happiness but terrible sadness too, Frankie may be gone but boxing fans will not forget him.
