If PED use was allowed and safely administered by athletic commissions?

PEDs will always be a disputed topic in a variety of sports and boxing is no exception. Among the top contemporary boxers most familiar with the public, none have managed to escape allegations surrounding PED use.

Now, let's consider the possible effects that removing PED regulations would have on the sport of boxing. In essence, this would narrow the physical discrepancy between enhanced and natural boxers. Every boxer will be capable of sustaining a high pace for the entirety of the competition, and the outcome of fights will be decided completely on skill level.

Will the current P4P rankings remain unaffected, or would this reinvent the sport of boxing and ultimately expose what it truly means to be the best?

PEDs are great they make fighters stronger and faster which means a better show for fans, lets just let everyone take whatever they want.

Not all boxers are well informed on the negative side effects of PEDs, to prevent any serious health risk doping agencies should provide the PEDs and monitor the progress.

PEDs should never be legalised within sports. Athletic pursuit has always and should always be about what the human body can do through hard work and sheer will. The use of PEDs, no matter how it is regulated, will lead to a huge divide between the rich and the poor, we may never see a skinny kid from the Phillipines beat up on Barrera ever again or a young man from the streets of India rip apart some of the best bowlers on the planet.

Also, how will it affect the sporting academies of Britain, Germany and the US? It just isn't on. The fact that we are even having this discussion is a sad fact of our times.

I would agree with that if every fighter had access to the highest quality PEDs.

Legalizing PEDs would only make it more accessible to boxers who aren't already on them. If this was the case, then the PEDs will be supplied by certified doping agencies and all fees covered by medical insurance. PED use is a rising pandemic in all sports, and the athletes who choose to exploit them are often rewarded with success.

Let's not fool ourselves into thinking that the NSAC is free of corruption. Athletes will cycle PEDs regardless of what regulations are in place, chemist will design new strains of PEDs that are undetectable, and the pure natural boxers who spend countless hours in the gym will always be a step behind.
