Hilarious that when Hendrix says he dropped GGG in sparring, we get all the "pfft...it's only sparring", but when GGG is beating up some scrubs in sparring, he's a killer.

I like GGG, but this feels like Matthysse all over again.

And Tyson and Pac and Marquez and Trinidad and Duran and Donaire and just about any fighter ever. Everyone gets "exposed" when they lose, it ridiculous. Lucas losses a close fight to the top guy in the division and it's "exposed", i told you so

Golovkin has has some of the best sparring stories around, beating up guys like Chavez, Canelo, angulo and Kovalev, among others. These are some of the toughest guys in boxing and most of it happened before anybody even knew golovkin.

A legit point was raised in this thread I think. Why was it quickly blown off when GGG was dropped in sparring but now that he is making guys wear body protectors in sparring it's a huge deal?

Seems like double standards.

There's a difference between 1 punch and beating the hell out of guys continuously

The fighters themselves are saying he hits so hard, they need to wear body protection because they're afraid of broken ribs and getting hurt

Now we hear in 2013 about the body protectors and everyone is all "ooooh, Stevens is in trouble." If anyone says it's just sparring now then they are labeled haters/racists/nationalistic.

And his haters are going thru threads saying that it IS a big deal, but blowing off things like fighters choosing to wear protection just so they dont get hurt or him beating up fighters. Blame them for trying to hype golovkin up.

Stevens isnt in trouble? Golovkin has beaten up everyone he faced in the pros as well many amateurs and in sparring as well. Whats wrong in saying that stevens is in trouble, its the most probable scenario ?
