Then he should match him with guys like Darchinyan, WV2 and Arce.

      Piss off Bob.

I hope Rigo beats some more of his TR guys, beats Lomachenko to kill Bob's next money maker and then ****s off to a different promoter.

Bob could give Rigo the opponents he gave Donaire and Rigo would look like the unstoppble beast.

As for the bolded, it genuinely bores me when I see this phrase now. It's such a bland, over-used statement here on NSB. You're just as much a fan as nearly everyone else on this board, get over it
... We all saw that fight... But who prevented Donaire from assaulting and punch Rigo down? Donaire looked quite disoriented... Wasn't Donaire also "credited" for that booing? It's not so clear for me...

Arum is a dirtbag, but people are clearly missing what he's saying here. HBO doesn't want to put Rigo on because of his last performance. It's clearly going to be a difficult job for Arum to get Rigo televised fights on HBO if they don't want to pay to watch him fight. Arum can't MAKE HBO put Rigo on their network. For the boxing fan, Rigo performance was a masterpiece, for the millions of HBO subscribers, the ***** was boring and no one wanted to watch him. Yes, the boxing fans are going to praise Rigo, but do you think HBO for a second gives a ***** about what the boxing public feels? No! If it's going to hurt their ratings to put Rigo on, then their not going to do it. Why do you think they went out and got a familiar name in Agbeko to fight him? Had they brought in Joe Blow, the ***** would likely be on ESPN.

It's dangerous waters when a promoter is openly talking about the need for a fighter to fight in a certain way.

You are the promoter. He is the boxer. You do what you do. Let him do the sport he does and knows best and in the way that keeps him from not getting hit, hitting the other guy, and more importantly...winning.

I understand HBO doesn't wanna put Rigo on but Arum doesn't need to be ****ting on Rigo either. You need to back up your fighter and put his ass on PPVs... You got plenty of them.

... Arum should tell all these to Ward also... But I was told here that Ward is from the U.S. and doesn't need to change anything...

That's the bottom line. Rigo can feel free to fight the way he wants but that can also lead him into no TV dates and far less money. It is Rigo's choice, no one else's. Rigo can turn it up another notch and still maintain his skillset.
