    I'm disappointed in Rigo

I hold Rigo to very high standards he's a brilliant master boxer and can compete in an all time tournament and get the best of them. Yet the thing the makes him so great is also his downfall. The label of being "boring". Bob Arum is holding Rigo hostage and will keep him from fighting if he isn't more fan friendly. I expected Arum to do something like this but i'm disappointed that Rigo caved in to Bob's demands.

"I spoke with his people, and they assured me Rigo will fight more fan friendly"

how upset you are that Bob is threatening to jeopardize Rigo's future dates if he continues to fight "boring"? This is what's killing boxing

I think it's also in Rigo's best interest to give the fan a little more action an not be so technical. And I understand why it's taken so long to get him a fight. Boxing it's more of an event now. A major sport event. Rigo is the champ. He needs to fight the top fighters. And to make those fights and give the fans good cards a whole lot of business and politics take place. We the fans are the ones who make it happen. Styles make fights ,and I guarantee you nobody will pay money to watch a Rigo fight. Outside of the loyal boxing fans I mean. What do you expect from a champ? To sell out a decent size arena and draw a crowd. I don't see Rigo with the fanbase to do that.

He's a hard fighter to promote. If he wasn't just so defensive , with all that skill he should be able to pick people apart. Be a little more busy.

I don't think Bob is asking for something crazy.

It's not Arum, the network will be unwilling to pay his high guarantee if the fights are too boring. That's cause the viewers tune out. 1+1=2

He's on TV and against a good opponent. Let's just wait and see how it plays out.

He's knocked out 8 of 12 fighters so its not like he's always in a chess match.

its one thing to say okay I'll do it but actually doing it in the ring? we'll see. I like watching Rigondeaux and don't mind his style at all.

Dude gets a bad rap of being boring because he schooled donaire....
I thought that fight was very entertaining,, you kept waiting for donaire to turn it on and flip a switch, but rigo was in total control, except for when he got clipped and knocked down......

Put rigo in with guys like agebako, kiko martinez and other straight forward guys and rigo will be in "watchable" fights

The thing is when he is more aggressive he destroys guys then people say they're nobodies. He can't win!

What happens if he starches Agbeko? ''He was semi-retired and shopworn''

Phuck it. You can't please these people. They'll always find something to hate on. Rigo needs to just fight his fight, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Hes fought like that pretty much for 20 years why change now?

Plenty of options anyway; Agbeko then Mathebula/Kiko vs Frampton winner (Easy big money fight to be made in Ireland should Frampton win)
by that time Quigg will be ready to receive his ass whooping.
