It's a fight that will definitely be made in the future but it all depends on the outcome of Pacquiao Rios. If Rios loses badly I'm not sure that they will want to make Rios Alvarado III right away. Alvarado's last five fights have been tough fights and he needs rest his body. He'd be smart not to take that fight next.

I didn't see it, but I heard Narh was holding his own in there

I disagree with Alvarado needing a soft touch or a tune-up. A long break? hell yeah, but if they can make Alvo/Rios in June/July, that would be fantastic.

Alvarado will ALWAYS be in fights like this. There really is no soft touches because of his style. When he tries to "box" he just hops around in circles without trying to attack. He's most effective when he plants his feet.

Too long...but then he also has to accommodate for Rios

It was back and forth for almost the entire time. I'm looking forward to Vargas's next fight after his performance.

His fights against Rios were five months apart, and after the beating Prov put on him, I think an extra month off would be reasonable. He definitely needs to come back as a WW though, cuz rehydrating almost 20lbs in three consecutive fights and almost not making weight isn't a good look.
