Alvarado wouldn't have won this fight even if he continued to box. He wasn't outboxing Rus. Rus seemed to hurt Al with every punch. You can't say it any better. He broke AL...literally broke him. Took his heart from the start.

So he did it and you can't take it away, I thought Alvarado had more left in the tank but I guess not.
Thats what i saw he also.He wasn't wasting too many punches he was picking when to throw.

No way, Mike was trying to box, but he couldn't keep Ruslan away, he was adapting, overhand rights, body shots and left hooks from the side were all key success points for Ruslan.

Boxing won't win every fight unless the boxer can adapt, Mike didn't, Ruslan did.

Yeah I used to see Alvarado as this immovable guy, the way he broke down prescott had me thinking he was one of those guys that couldn't be stopped but that first Rios fight took that confidence from him I think. He just didn't look natural/comfortable doing all that back pedalling.

He looked terrible tonight too Han. I'm like wtf is he doing? He's scared. I swear that popped into my head. He's scared of Prov. AL will watch the tape and see that he fought a dumbass fight. But to be honest, Rus's hands were faster, and maybe nobody knew this except Rus lol...

I thin it had more to do with Alvarado being completely drained. Dude didn't look himself tonight at all. I'm sure those wars with Rios didn't help him either.

Now Provodnikov shows he's somebody in boxing. With the Bradley fight, I was iffy about him, didn't rate him that high yet. Just an unknown who happened to give a known fighter a tough fight, happens all the time. But now he shows he's the real deal. Cong**** to him.
