I don't think there's any doubt once he moved up and wasn't as weight drained he could handle a shot better.
Of course it was bothering him. But it wasn't causing him to be knocked out, or even lose.

Provodnikov may very well knock him out. But Alvarado has a tendency to look weak at weigh ins. He'll be ready to fight tomorrow.

Before I understood why Diaz was fat cuz he wanted to be a lawyer but now that hes come back to boxing and hes still fat its cuz he has no discipline.

Everyone isn't going to be cut though, no matter how hard they work.. Diaz always looked kind of soft but you could tell by the way he fought that he was in crazy shape because he threw loads of punches...

Man I can't wait for Alvarado to move up to 147, it's long overdue.

He looks drained as hell in these pics, once he moves up he'll have a lot more energy to fight 3 minutes of every round.

Most of his early fights were above 140, hopefully he moves back up after this.

Ruslan looked pretty healthy at the weigh in and very strong. I see Alvarado gets a lot of respect for his boxing ability but he tends to slug it out a lot too. He fought carefully on purpose in the Rios rematch because he just suffered his first loss and knew what Rios was going to be about the second time around.

I think he overlooked Ruslan and didn't prepare properly like Bradley didn't. He'll be able to box for a few rounds but as you said, he won't last long and then Ruslan will eat him alive.

I fear for Alvarado's life. Ruslan looked like a happy killing machine.

I'm pretty confident in saying Ruslan is a better boxer than Rios for sure.
So if I understand you correctly you're saying provo would beat rios? You based this on what exactly? People tend to forget provo was an espn boxer who lost to maricio herrera. He almost knocked out a desperate for fan love bradley out and now people think he's great. Rios has easily beaten the better competition. I hope after they both lose this fight gets made.

Changing my pick to Provodnikov for damn sure. Alvarado is dead at the weight.
