Comments Thread For: Rakhim Chakhkiev Wants December Bout, New Trainer

Olympic gold medal winner Rakhim Chakhkiev (17-1, 13KOs) is planning to return on a date in December. He challenged WBC champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk in June and got off to a quick start. He was dominating the action and dropped the champion in the third, but then Wlodarczyk dropedd him in rounds six, seven and eight before the fight was waved off by the referee.

Chakhkiev came back in October and knocked out Guilian Liie in the tenth round of a cruiserweight clash on the Klitschko-Povetkin undercard at Olympic Stadium in Moscow.

I agree, he only needs to learn to pace himself a bit. But i fear that will be even to much for him because i feel he has zero ring-IQ. Some people told me he has a weak mentality and hes overpacing as a result.

He holds a Gold,so his IQ can't be all that dude.look at Haye I question his ring IQ,but he has won fights on his athleticism alone IMO.Rakhim is a natural athlete and he's seeking to change trainer and training methods,he obviously knows he's lacking finesse.his biggest weakness is his animal like instinct, the guy reminds me of Rambo,he looks as though he was born to kill with his bare hands.

He somehow has to curb his aggression, throw less per round.against The Diablo he must have thrown three hundred punches a round, and I'm not even sure that is an exaggeration.I'm serious I love watching this guy.with Krusher and GGG its like the East is spoiling us with a new breed of killers.cant wait for Boytsov to return to the mix also.
